Social Responsibility at CCA
Since our founding in 1983, CCA has placed an emphasis on being a socially responsible organization and a strong corporate citizen. As stated in our Human Rights Policy Statement:
"We recognize the inherent dignity of the human person and the need to treat every individual with respect. As we have since our inception, we share the responsibility of our government partners when they entrust individuals to our care."
We also believe that by giving back to our communities and providing economic value to our employees, government partners, communities, and investors, we will continue to build a sustainable enterprise that has proven its value over three decades of service.
I invite you to learn more about our activities as a socially responsible organization:
- Protecting Inmate and Detainee Rights
- Adding Value for Taxpayers
- Providing Proven Reentry Programs
- Improving Our Communities
- Ensuring Governance with Integrity
- Fostering Meaningful Careers
Faced with overcrowded facilities, skyrocketing taxpayer costs and inmates struggling to break the cycle of crime, corrections systems across America face serious challenges. For 30 years, CCA has successfully built and managed detention and corrections facilities in partnership with governments of all levels to help address these challenges, and we are proud of the important public service we provide.
CCA is comprised of more than 16,000 dedicated professionals. From our veterans to those who support them at home and from chaplains to security officers, we are working hard each day to provide safe, affordable correctional services. I’m personally very proud of their commitment to their jobs and communities, their compassion, and their professionalism. I invite you to learn more about the work they do every day to make CCA a great company, a great partner and a great corporate citizen.
